I'm finally on my way out of the waiting room....
Application Received per USPS Return Receipt - Feb 22
PIN Received - March 24th (Letter dated March 22nd)
Application Completed - license issued or certificate active - May 8th
75 days till Issuance + a few days for mailing.
I live in Austin so I am REALLY hoping my Liscense makes it here before Friday because I am heading out of town. I was told on one of my phone calls that mail goes out on Thursdays so I'll verify if this is true or not.

I am around the mid 60 day range right now and when I called today they said my application was still processing. I asked if there was anything that was still holding it up and the lady made it sound like it would be processed within the next few days.Flatland2D wrote:Congratulations RedRaider. Mine also took 68 days. Hope your first day of carry goes well!
The nugget of information most useful from the conversation was that she stated that mailings go out on Thursdays. I'm really hoping to receive my package in the mail next week!

I made a call to DPS today since I am on Day 61 and the woman who I spoke with was nice, but mentioned they are running behind as others have mentioned. My packet was received on 2-22, and she said they were waiting on information back from the counties.
The strange thing to me is that my record is squeeky clean and I have only ever lived in 2 counties in my life. It should be relatively simple to process the paperwork, and I even sent in digital fingerprints so as to avoid any possible slowdown because of bad prints.
I ended my call by asking if it was likely I would receive my liscense within the next 2 weeks. I am going on a road trip at that time, and she responded that it was probably not likely. I won't hold my breath, but I did everything possible on my side to enable a speedy processing time and it still looks like I will be >75 days based upon her comment.
