Favorite quote from the article:
"The law doesn't address keeping the gun in the holster, so as one of my friends has said, you could have it in a big gulp cup on your hip and you bend over and it falls out on the floor, possibly discharging if it's not a modern firearm," he said, "Or some other patron could have grabbed the gun and taken off."

SSISD trustee Don Sapaugh, who is employed as vice president of City National Bank in Sulphur Springs, noted specifics of the open carry law which goes into affect Jan. 1 is an issue that’s being addressed by banks and banking organizations across the state as well. He said initially, it was thought that all banks were in accordance regarding firearms at financial institutions, but they’ve learned at least one financial banking association looks at it differently.

The trustee said one important thing that also should be considered when school district policies are amended in accordance with the law is liability.

Specifics on size and types of signs once determined also must be met, Sapaugh noted.
This reminds me of my days working in Federal Government. A bunch of people getting paid way too much sitting around and blathering about things they're mostly ignorant on... Then they pay an overpriced lawyer to tell them what they need to do and the weeks and months they speculated were worth nothing.

As of Jan. 1, Texans can carry any handgun openly or concealed as long as they are licensed by Texas or a state with reciprocity - meaning another state that also has "open carry."......

.....Also, minors younger than 18 can only "open carry" in the presence of an adult.
What?! The ignorance is painful

This news story claims he won a $1 million whistleblower lawsuit in California as well....
That may be the lawsuit I heard about, rather than one over the nude photographs.

Chas.
Yeah, all I could glean was that he was sued by her for $5 million in damages, that she didn't accept the settlement offer, but I don't know what final disposition there was. Then the whistleblower suit...

None of this changes the fact there is overwhelming evidence he is a liar and deceptive and completely comes across wrong to me.
