According to the Buddha Shakyamuni, Buddhism isn't a religion. Try putting a big Buddha statue in the rotunda and see if it's a religion or not, in America.
The amendment says, by the way, "Congress shall pass no law...". It wasn't written to prohibit local or state officials from doing anything.

You can have and express any opinion you want, within the confines of the board's rules. 
Just expect to hear opposing views! If you hold your views to be truths, then expect them to be challenged.
We all voted for somebody, have views on war, capital punishment, etc. etc. You will find many who disagree and a few that agree.
My views? Not now, not this forum, although I will tell you I'm passionate about 1911's, so don't go there!
