Because a badge suggest some type of authority which a CHL does not have. A badge would accomplish nothing and would cause confusion for the masses.Charlies.Contingency wrote:What good is a police officers badge is anyone can get one? If a non licensee can get one, what good is it?
For me, no thanks. YMMV![]()
He got the typical Harshly Negative Opinions I've come to expect on this forum about this topic. Can anybody provide for him or myself an ACTUAL reason WHY he should NOT have a badge? Why shouldn't he? If he wants to, and like others, let him IMO. Isn't it his constitutional right to carry a gun and have a CHL badge if he wants to?o b juan wrote:Well THETEXAN your thinking outloud got responses.

I know I'm getting a bit out there, but come on guys, can we have a good discussion, besides the two letter responses?
I support him wanted to keep the confusion down. I've encountered people to this day who do not know a person can legally carried a handgun concealed. We take for granted all the knowledge we have acquired from being inquisitive, vigilant, and up to date on gun laws. Don't forget who we're talking about dealing with, the GENERAL PUBLIC.

Re: Perhaps a state issued LTC holster insignia is the answe
Does anyone actually believe that licensed OC is going to be the green light for gang bangers to start OCing? If an officer can't tell the difference between me and a gang banger he needs to find another line of work.
If you have a CHL and you look like a gang banger and you choose to OC, oh well...
Not that I plan to OC.
