I have to disagree, no amount of practice resolves a horrible trigger. You may get use to a horrible trigger, but it doesn't make the trigger better.
Of course if you drink Mad Dog 20/20 long enough I guess you might develop a taste for it.
Not sure why the snarky response. In any case, I'm of the opinion the tool is not at fault, it's the user. You don't like the 709 trigger - I find no fault with it - so what?

Can't go wrong with the Glock 26. It is thicker than than the single stacks but has a much better trigger and is extremely reliable. If you really want a single stack 9, in about the same price range as the Glock you can pick up an XDs.

I looked at it for a friend. As far as I'm concerned the trigger is totally unacceptable. Don't know your budget, but the CM9 would be a much better option.
