Once he was gone I wouldn't want to risk being stuck with him again. The Annoyed Man wrote:http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/bowe-b ... in-n124451Why isn't Obama in jail yet? Maybe we can let the Taliban kidnap him instead. Then we can trade 5 gangbangers to the Taliban to get him back.SHAWAR, Pakistan - One of the five Taliban leaders freed from Guantanamo Bay in return for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl's release has pledged to return to fight Americans in Afghanistan, according to a fellow militant and a relative.
"After arriving in Qatar, Noorullah Noori kept insisting he would go to Afghanistan and fight American forces there,” a Taliban commander told NBC News via telephone from Afghanistan.
Noori pushed to return to Afghanistan after learning that the U.S. had provided written assurances that no country would arrest any of the five freed for a year as long as they lived peacefully, one of his relatives told NBC News by telephone from Afghanistan.
Rinse and repeat.

I don't think he cares. Especially after Nov elections, I think he'll do what he wants while giving true Americans the one finger salute.mamabearCali wrote:philip964 wrote:Told a friend I didn't understand why Obama did what he did. I didn't see an up side for him.
Friend replied. Obama promised to shut down Guantanamo in his campaign. Feels its part of his deal with the voters.
He started with the five worst guys to get us used to the idea and got our guy back as a bonus.
Rest of them to come later as we are now conditioned.
Hopefully the backlash has given him and his stupid advisors a change of mind. Though I would not count on it.

Both are poisonous snakes. I'm more concerned about the snake in my backyard than I am about the one in the next county.Jim Beaux wrote:I also trust the Taliban more than obama.RetNavy wrote:this just my opinion.... first of all he was "captured" when he was a PFC which is what a E-3.... how may PFC's would be in position of any important military intellegence...
2nd... when i went through boot camp... we had drilled into our noggins the Military Fighting Man Creed or something like that which was basically give your name rank serial number, and to try to escape to your utmost capabilities.....
as i said this is my opinion.... Why didnt the Taliban go ahead and execute him once they realized that he was a small fish.... if he even once tried to escaped they probably would have done it (my thinking) The only way we will probably get the whole story is when the taliban gives that info out..... sure not going get it from the white house

Even DF is now complaining about the swap occurring without congress being notified. Says the law should have been followed.
