I know a lot of people who would have thought that was a great turn around time. Will be interesting to see if the quick times are here to stay.robzgunz wrote:My renewal took a bit longer.Sasnakra wrote:Filed my renewal on-line. Got my new CHL in about two weeks! A lot faster and easier than expected
I filed my renewal Online on Fri 8/29/14 (The Fri before Labor Day)
Uploaded a copy of my DD-214 that same afternoon
When trying to check my renewal status online, nothing but a 'Give time to process' message
Received the plastic in today's mail.
So... 3Weeks + 1Weekend. Still not bad, considering a Holiday was involved. :)

Re: Renewal wait
Usually your Rep will make a call for you to DPS after the 60 day mark. From what I hear this has been very successful.ready&waiting wrote:No, haven't called her yet. Thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and see it they really expedited it or see if it's just another ploy ......jmra wrote:Have you called your state representative?ready&waiting wrote:Be VERY thankful if you received your license in a timely manner! I am on day 112 and still no update on web site. Submitted on November 29, 2013, received email on 1/14/14 that all paperwork had been received. In February I started calling; after 3 calls of being told to keep giving them more time I called again on 3/14/14. At this time I was told they didn't have any paperwork for me ......I explained that I had two emails to the contrary and so they ask me to email the forms again. I received an email later that day that said my paperwork had been "escalated this to the attention of the CHL supervisor for review and processing". Sooo, I'm waiting STILL (not too patiently I might add). If your application is more than 60 days old call them and don't take the standard " please wait longer" reply without getting all the facts!

Not bad at all.Pawpaw wrote:Plastic in hand today. Well OK, Looking on the clock it was yesterday, 3/19. I just got home.
Starting on 2/21 and ending 3/19. That's 27 days or almost 4 weeks. Not a record, but still not too bad.

Re: Renewal wait
I've seen some posts on here recently claiming 10 day turn around for renewal.SewTexas wrote:took me from the middle of Nov through the middle of Feb, now they've hired extra people, although I have heard it's temp folks, I think it's only taking renewals 3-4 weeks again.
