CongratsOldman wrote:Day 121..........."Concealed Handgun License : Manufacturing Pending"!Oldman wrote:Called and talked to a very nice lady today (Day 119) who checked and said my CHL was waiting for the photo to be attached. She then transferred me to the "specialist" who was supposed to be taking care of that photo attachment and she said she would put it in her "batch to work today". This specialist also said to allow 7-10 business days to receive my license. So if that's true, I should get it sometime between Day 128 to 133. That may be a record longest wait for this process!

At this rate you are going to be an oldman by the time you get your CHL.Oldman wrote:I'm still out here waiting! Submitted materials electronically on October 28th, and received no updates at all so I finally called on Day 86. Lady said it was "Under Review". The next day (coincidence?) my status changed for the first time to "under review". This was January 25th. Has been stuck there now for just about a month. Today is Day 116. Pretty long review considering I've never even had one traffic violation!

Re: October Applications
My experience with government organizations is that employees fall into one of several categories, two of which are dedicated employees who take pride in their work and air thieves. Sounds like your application may have found its way to the latter.Slobber wrote:I submitted my documents 10/21/2013. I recieved my first update 2/11/14. That is 113 days for an update... just an update. I am now waiting on the background check. I feel you other guys pain. I checked and some of the november people have already gotten there plastic. Nice to know if I submitted my documents a month late I would have had my plastic by now.

For those waiting, keep on hangin in there.
Whenever I was getting updates, I read this whole thread probably 10 times over comparing times and updates and such, and it gave me a general idea.
Best advice I have is check the website every couple days, and try to get comfy with your carry rig.
God bless.

Didn't do a wally walk but I did do an academy walk. I actually felt very comfortable carrying, I thought I would be nervous at first but after the first couple minutes I felt just like I do any other day walking around a store, just safer.
Looks like I can finally put the waiting room behind me! Good luck to those stile waiting

Re: October Applications
Sounds like a RNs schedule. My wife worked that schedule for 3 years before going to the OR.LadyLightening wrote:TBJK wrote:Do you ever sleep? Always seems your posts are at all hours of the day.LadyLightening wrote: No, I always saw my updates in between 6-7AM and on weekends too!
I work 12 hour shifts that are from 7pm to 7am. I sleep during the day when I work then transition back to normal people schedules on my 3-4 days off. I'd sure like to sleep more!
