When the owner of Chick-fil-A came under attack for his statements about marriage, those who supported him didn't visually display their heterosexualness. They showed their support the best way possible, by showing their collective purchasing power.
This would have been a much better approach in showing Starbucks appreciation for the previous policy. I also believe that had long guns never entered the equation, the policy would not have been changed.
