I've always had this image of the blade popping out while it was in my pocket.steve817 wrote:It's funny now that I can carry one I really don't want to.

That would be nice.WildBill wrote:The Texas constitution has certain provisions where local governments can not "overrule" certain state laws, but apparently knife regulations are not included. Maybe this oversight will be remedied soon.papajohn1964 wrote:Are they still illegal in San Antonio? How can a city overrule a State law?

Re: Auto Knife (Switchblade) Recommendations?
Hopefully someone remembers to inform Texas LEOs. I think most of them still believe churches are off limits for CC.HankB wrote:Well, now that as of Sept 1 automatic knives - switchblades - are legal in Texas, I think I'd like to get one for every day carry. I mostly carry a CRKT M16-03 so something very generally the same size would be ideal . . . single edged so it's not a "dagger" and with a practical length blade, say 3" - 4" or so.
I'm not interested in fancy engraving or a fancy "name" on the knife, just functional, well made, and with good steel . . . not some $20 Chinese junk.
