Re: One in the pipe - do you do it?
my guns are very rarely unholstered.Bill wrote:I reading some of the post I really think some of you should reconsider how you handle your weapons
My Glocks are kept in my holster all the time except 1.when cleaning (which I never do) 2.At the range training 3.In a gun fight. I do not PUT my Glock into its holster any other times period. I pick up my holstered pistol and put on my IWB Comptac infidel, snap the loops and I am set. If I need to remove the pistol I just take of the holster and LEAVE the pistol all warm and snug in its bed. This is the preferred method and can be used paddle and even fixed loop although you will have to remove your belt. That why I like snaps, I also carry two fanny packs (don't laugh) one has a Khar and the other a Glock 23. Both stay in the pouches until called upon, and I can deploy in about 1 sec. They are so handy I use them all the time, I even carry my cell phone and spare mags. Yes we should exercise trigger awareness but sometime the brain does not work so we put into place extra safety things.
my 2 cents,Bill
forgive my grammar and spelling

all of my SD weapons are loaded and holstered. Even if they are sitting in the safe they are still holstered.Bill wrote:I reading some of the post I really think some of you should reconsider how you handle your weapons

If the 20 foot rule applies for you, how far would you have to extend that range for him?RKirkwood wrote:Always have one in the pipe. BUT have a friend that is not very confident, doesn't have one in the pipe and makes sure his safety is on.
