they WOULD NOT be visiting Mr. H to give him the red strobe light.

The officer I spoke with the other night said they would.

His lieutenant overruled that bit of community service by LDPD,
so now I have to pick it up at the cop shop and give it to Mr. H
myself, when I can finally spot him. I don't know where he lives.

No good deed goes unpunished! :-)

I'm sure you will "run into" Mr. H sooner or later.

Re: 1st time showing CHL! Lake Dallas PD unphased, supportive

"not the first CHL this officer has seen"

The only LEO I have ever had to show my CHL seemed very confused. He was by far the oldest LEO I have ever encountered.

He said he pulled me over for failure to yield at an intersection that was just down the street but not one I had gone through. I gave him both id's. He looked at them and with them still in hand walked all the way around my truck.

He then came back to my window and told me he was going to issue a warning and he would be right back with the paperwork. He handed me back my dl and kept my chl. After about 5 mins (seemed much longer) he came back to the window and handed me my chl.

He said he was sorry for the delay, said his computer was not working properly and for me to have a good day. I couldn't help laughing at the thought of him trying to figure out why my "dl" wasn't coming up correctly on his broken computer.

I heard from an LEO friend of mine that the guy retired not to long after that.
