I lived in New Orleans for 30yrs. There was corruption at every level of government. It was never a question of if a palm was going to get greased it was simply a matter of how greasey it was going to get. The cops were no exception. You couldn't get anyone to testify against a thug because if you talked you died. Turned out the death squad was several LEOs.
