If you have your CHL here in Texas, then you haven't had a DUI in 10 years, so you obviously know how to avoid getting one. It shouldn't even be an issue. I KNOW that 2 beers is my personal limit if driving or packing. How can you live in Texas and not enjoy a cold Shiner with your Ribeye? I think t...

For us (military), use of the ASP falls under the "Hard Controls" section of force escalation, the same as use of a Military Working Dog. It can, however, be "Deadly Force" if you strike the head. I agree 100% with your point. I'm just thinking about my personal liability. Since ...

Right--the part about the card or document applies to something delivered in some manner directly to the person being notified. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I was confused. So if a restaurant has a document posted on their window that meets only 1/3 requirements listed under (B), then it's a...

Comp-Tac

Comp-Tac C.T.A.C. works great for me. I'm a average-size guy and I can conceal a G35 (Long slide GLOCK .40) comfortably all day.

I really love the holster.

Warning shots = wasted rounds in my opinion. In the military, warning shots aren't authorized with small arms except the M2/M60 on our ship. The base has a standard warning recording they play when boats get too close to the pier that is pretty close to this: "You are entering a secure area, re...

So then they don't have to be in Spanish, 1" block letters or posted in a conspicuous location as long as it meets the requirements in (A)?

That answers my question. Thanks for your i/p.

I'm just curious because there is a rather ambiguous "OR" in the statute: Section 46.035(f). (3) "Written communication" means: _(A) a card or other document on which is written language identical to the following: "Pursuant to Section 30.06, Penal Code (trespass by holder o...

G29 or G35 in a CTAC. I'm about to buy a G20 (full-size 10mm GLOCK), and that will be my primary carry weapon. I'd like to get an ankle holster for the G29.

BTW, I'm 5'9", 170, and usually dressed in jeans and a t-shirt.

How many other permits can I get without going there?

I've heard of people getting Utah and NH CHLs w/o ever going there, what other states allow you to do that? What do I do to get these permits/licenses?

+1,000,000 to dryfiring. As for the Texas Star, I found that if you shoot the 11 o'clock plate first, then aim at the 5 o'clock plate and keep it there, you should be able to pick them all off as they swing. It's tricky and sometimes you can get really frustrated. For your accuracy, just move your t...

Easy. If you're wearing body armor, isosceles. If not, Weaver or whatever. I think that along with stance, proper use of cover should be considered. Any serious shooter will be able to shoot accurately from any stance, and recoil really shouldn't be an issue if you put the proper amount of thought i...

Nope, not a sniper, but a small arms instructor/advanced security reaction force member. I'm also on my ship's Force Protection training team, so I get to teach people about ROE and Deadly force. Having this job has opened my eyes and that is why I applied for my CHL and wish to go into LE when I ge...
