Re: Does state law supercede federal law...

I believe that particular federal law was held unconstitutional by the US Supreme Court in US v Lopez. The feds can regulate just about anything if it substantially affects interstate commerce. If I am correct the Lopez case was a limit on how far the feds could take the whole commerce clause thing....

Re: Interesting article about workplace carry.

I watched this on the news last night. I enjoyed parts of the segment and others made me furious. I loved the company that decided to send executives to get training and recommended that they get CHLs. Its nice to know that some companies have a little common sense. It sounds like that company is th...

stroo: I honestly didnt know what procedural rights the Nazis had during those tribunals. Good information to know. bdickens: Troll? Is there a need to resort to name calling? I thought we were all adults sharing ideas. In my book thats called a healthy debate, not an argument. We dont have to agree...

Re: GITMO

The US Constitution only applies to US citizens and resident aliens. The above statement is 100% false. A person has rights under the US Constitution if they are on US soil or territories. Therefore, people who sneak into the US have rights. Lucky for them, it is the law. Now this concept is differ...

Re: How long will it take before he's not "black enough"?

Obama will never have the problem of not being viewed as black enough by the vast majority of the black community. That issue was raised in the election and quickly dismissed. He will not pander to black extremist who like to throw race into discussions where its not relevant. Reality is that he is ...

Re: GITMO

Closing GITMO is the right thing to do. For those who understand the guarantee of due process granted in the US Constitution the decision is simple. Persons who will freely abandon any of their rights for the illusion of safety are opening the door for stripping away rights they do not wish to aband...
