I'm signed up for 8-Feb as well.
Due to time requirements, this fits in perfect. Also the fellow in the lane next to me at eagle peak this weekend gave a strong recommendation. He had the same instructor, Jim. Others here mentioned John was great. Hopefully this will turn out well.

Recommended CHL Class in Austin Area?
Howdy All,
New here as you might guess.
I'm looking for recommendations on a place to take the CHL Class for new applicants. The two places immediately available to me would be Reds Indoor in Pflugerville as well as Eagle Peak outside of Cedar Park. I shoot at both regularly so I am familiar w/ the facilities.
Any experiences with either of these? Is there a specific instructor I should search out or try to avoid? Any other places one might suggest?
Looking for input. I Plan to take mine in the very near future.
