Another thing to remember is that people are often convicted of multiple offenses. You might have 500 convictions for 330 license revocations. That's only 1.5 offenses per person. Someone carrying and arrested for DWI would be convicted (assuming proven guilty) of DWI and carrying while intoxicated. Two convictions for one person. If they ran over someone, add a third for intoxication assault/manslaughter. That also makes it harder to get the percentages right, because the OP was assuming one conviction per person. Most of the people in TDCJ weren't convicted of only one offense.

Sorry Chas if this means more work for your staff in figuring out the numbers.
