I got some custom ones made at the local range. They stick, for lack of a better term, a tiny tampon in your ear canal, then fill the rest of the outer ear with this epoxy putty. Ten minutes later, you have custom molded earplugs that work GREAT! They were kinda pricey for plugs, at about 30-40 bucks IIRC, but I saw a kit at Academy the other day where you could make your own for about $15.
