Re: Trying to refinish a rifle
I think Lauer Custom Weaponry has a DuraCoat kit for about $50. It includes an airbrush and all the DuraCoat paints to do it. This is designed for firearms and I'm told it's better than the stock finish on most weapons.

Re: Introduction of firearms to less than "ideal" children
My brother is currently dealing with a similar situation with his stepson. It's a long story, but the boy was living with his father, then father's parents, but is now back with the mother and my brother. He's about 5 YOA right now and is showing disturbing signs such as crushing small animals to de...

I'm a reloader now!
Well, since I finally finished medic school and all the associated testing, I had time yesterday to build and set up my reloading bench. I got a RCBS kit and everything needed except powder from a nice lady on this forum several months back and just got it running yesterday. Loaded my first 50 round...

Re: Uncle Mike's or UTG?
I know NOTHING about UTG holsters, didn't even know they made holsters. What I do know about them is about their AR-15 products. I have read a lot on a couple of forums about UTG stuff being airsoft stuff. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. I have a set of UTG quad rails on my Bushmaster an they are AOK i...

Re: Open Letter to our Nation's Leadership
We need a new party, the PATRIOT party. The only "platform" of said party should be Constitutionalism. For any issues not specifically addressed in the Constitution or Bill of Rights, the question will be posed to the people prior to a vote in congress, much like a primary election. The pe...

Re: A couple optics questions for AR gurus
Thanks guys. I posted this question on another forum as well, and got similar responses. I am not really interested in a red dot at this time, because I don't really see the benefit of them. If I wanted a sight without magnification, I'd just use the irons. I've been hearing lots of bad stuff about ...

A couple optics questions for AR gurus
Okay guys, I just bought a new Bushmaster AR, carbine length, 16" bbl, colapsible stock etc. It's a flat top and came with the removable carry handle. I got the carry handle sights zeroed on Saturday, but I'm pretty much blind in one eye and can't see out of the other, so I like optics. The rif...

Thanks magicglock, I appreciate the information. That's about what I figured, but thought I'd ask anyway.

Re: Lone Wolf Glock barrel swaps?
Sorry, you can only step down .40 to 9mm. You cannot go 9mm to .40. The ejector is different on the two models and will only allow G22 to 9mm, G23 to 9mm, or g27 to 9mm. Kind of what I expected. What about a G23 slide, plus barrel and spring/guide rod? Is such a thing even available? I know you can...

Re: Lone Wolf Glock barrel swaps?
Not to hijack, but on a similar note, I just traded for a G19. I know it's safe to step down from .40 to 9mm, but what about swapping in a barrel and spring to go from 9mm to .40 cal? Can it be done? I've always liked the .40 cal for carry, but 9mm is cheaper and (slightly) easier to come by these d...

Re: Hearing protection recommendation?
I got some custom ones made at the local range. They stick, for lack of a better term, a tiny tampon in your ear canal, then fill the rest of the outer ear with this epoxy putty. Ten minutes later, you have custom molded earplugs that work GREAT! They were kinda pricey for plugs, at about 30-40 buck...

Pretty sad. I agree with everything all of you have said, but I have just one other question...where did they find .380 ammo?
