Re: Cities improperly posting 30.06 signs?
[quote="Keith B"] FROM FEB. 02, 2009 6:53PM Kieth B..... Kieth B.... EDITED TO ADD: This looks like the old version of the sign, so, see below: Now, even though the sign may not be really legal, the hospital local police and others may feel it is. If you are found out, then you may 'beat t...

Re: Requirement to Present CHL @ Time Of ID Request by Officer
I have great respect for LEOs and for what they represent. I guess it's something I learned while in Marine Bootcamp. I see LEO 's as Officers of the law, and every time I have been pulled over, I have had the habit of turning the courtesy light on and not make any sudden moves, hoping it's for bene...

Re: Poll: Do you support open-carry in Texas?
I think that everyone that voted on this issue, all have valid reasons to support their choice of preference. No matter how each one of us chooses to vote, our choice of support, will not be agreed by everyone. I think we all agree that more Government control, on what we can or can't do, is not wha...

Re: Pocket Carry Redux
Fangs, the ankle holster that I use for my LCP is made of nylon, has a retainer strap with velcro to keep the LCP in place, has a wide elastic band that wraps around my ankle secured with velcro. The trick to wear comfortable is to wrap it at an angle tighter at bottom where ankle is thinner, but ov...

I'm responding to crossfire, longtooth, bunkins and bryang. Yes, I explained to my wife all the bad things that could happen at any moment.Every time we go out I point out to her the possibilities of being assaulted when coming out of any store. I tell her, "see that women loading her groceries, ...

Re: Pocket Carry Redux
I carry an LCP in a(PocketHolster.com) holster that has a back flap that prevents printing on my jean's pockets. It makes it look like a wallet. I carry in front pocket when carrying my MK-40 at 4'oclock as primary defense. I carry LCP in back pocket when I can't carry my MK-40 on my side. I love th...

Re: Todays' Dallas Morning News
A couple of years back I never thought I would someday carry a firearm. Didn't even know or heard of CHL, nor had ever seen a 3006 sign. However, with the increase of gun violence, I decided that if I needed to protect my love ones I needed to find a way. Being a responsible person and wanting to le...

Re: Taco Cabana customer services department response
Just wanted to let everyone on CHL forum that I'm very happy with the policy change of Taco Cabana. I also sent a Thank You e-mail to cust. service Diana Smith. Her response was super quick and very positive. I just felt that with this policy change, a very sincere Thank You was deserved. (Now I hop...

Re: Requirement to Present CHL @ Time Of ID Request by Officer
Thank you Frost. I guess every incident when pulled over by a LEO will be different. However, I would assume that all LEOS should have the right common sense to understand that the "C" in CHL means" CONCEALED" so in other words meaning NO ONE SHOULD KNOW. I would also assume that...

Re: Requirement to Present CHL @ Time Of ID Request by Officer
So, if LEOS don't care to expose me as a CHL holder, how can I keep my passengers from knowing that I'm armed? Would it make matters worse if when asked for ID, and as I show my CHL, tell the LEO "yes, (meaning I'm armed) Please keep it private.(Meaning don't let my passengers know.)??????. I j...

Re: Requirement to Present CHL @ Time Of ID Request by Officer
Do LEOS keep silent when you show them your ID and CHL? The reason I'm asking is cause, what if you're driving your vehicle and you have passengers with you that don't know you're carrying your pistol and don't know you have a CHL, and you don't want them to know. Will LEOS ask you if you are armed ...
