Re: Need a gunsmith in the Austin area...

I have had a couple of guns worked on by the gunsmith's at McBrides and have been very happy with their work and prices.

Re: CHL Attorney

If anyone does actually talk to an attorney that does handle CHL cases in the Austin area please do report back. I would love
to have a name and number just in case it was ever needed.

Re: Ruger 380 LCP Pocket Carry

I carry my wifes LCP from time to time when it is more conveniant than my PF9. I bought a leather pocket holster off Ebay from a guy in Bastrop, Tx that makes them and it works very well. It looks like a wallet in my back pocket no printing at all.

Re: Cabela's VS McBrides prices

I have been buying most of my ammo at Academy or Walmart. Other than .223 they seem to have a better selection and prices than Cabela's. I have bought 5 boxes of .380 over the last month at Academy and I have not seen it anywhere else. That is FMJ ammo not personal defense stuff. The only other pist...

Re: Cabela's VS McBrides prices

I have always found McBrides gun prices to be pretty good. I did buy my wifes Ruger LCP from Cabela's only because they had it on sale at the time. I guess in a way I am lucky, I work about 2 miles from McBrides and we live about 5 miles from Cabela's in Buda.

Re: Kel-Tec PF 9

I have a PF9 as a CCW. It is a great little gun and mine is very accurate out to about 20 yards. I trade off between it or my LCP depending on how I am going to carry. If I have my shirt tail out I carry the PF9 in a Fobus paddle holster, if I have my shirt tucked in I carry the LCP in my back pocke...

Re: Weapon Lock box in car

I have two gun safes, one bolted to the floor of my truck and the other mounted in our RV. I cannot carry at work so when I get there in the mornings
I put my gun in the safe and pull it out before I head home in the afternoon.

Re: CHL Attorney

We went to our attorney today to sign our new will and he is also a CHL holder. I asked him about this and he did not know of any around the Austin area but said he had heard about one in San Antonio. Maybe someone will come along and know his name and phone number.

CHL Attorney

Does anyone know of a good CHL attorney in the Austin/San Antonio area? I would like to have one lined up just in case I ever needed one for a CHL related issue.

They did in Feb. when I took mine in so if it has changed I have not heard. Maybe someone will come along that has done it lately.

Re: Newbie in Austin (Manchaca)

Since you are in Austin you may want to take the paperwork to the DPS yourself. The good thing about doing that is they will look everything
over and make sure you have no mistakes or issues that may cost you time later.
