Re: Plain clothes LEO open carry question
Departmental policy may restrict how plain clothes officers carry while on duty or off duty for that matter.

Re: Galco MX7 Matrix - Your Experiences
I purchased one for my PM9 and it does ride tight against the body, but not to a point that it is uncomfortable. The retention on the PM9 is good, not too tight or loose, but like OverEasy mentioned, an adjustable retention capability would make the holster a little nicer. I usually use this holster...

Re: LEO seizure of a handgun
That's nice. You question my credibility while offering no evidence to show that I am wrong. If you can show me some cases where people who are not engaged in a crime (felon in possession of a firearm, transporting drugs, illegal alien, etc.) or have outstanding warrants shoot at police during traf...

Re: LEO seizure of a handgun
Wow, that is so far from the truth. Only career criminals shoot at cops when they are stopped? I'll leave that one alone.seamusTX wrote:The only people who shoot at cops are career criminals who are wanted or actively engaged in some criminal activity when they are stopped.

In addition to what has been stated already, I believe its also done for statistical purposes.

Re: concealed, yes no?
I would never carry like that....not even as an off duty LEO. My vote is no, not concealed. The jury is already out, judging by the inconsistent answers on this thread. Who wants to be a test case? I know I wouldn't.

Re: LEO seizure of a handgun
Your kind words are very appreciated flintknapper. There are already enough people in society who dislike LEO's with a passion. I see it, hear it, and feel it everyday; I understand it because of the small percentage in Law Enforcement who do the profession an injustice, but also feel short changed...

Re: WOULD YOU SHOOT???????????
For those who respond yes....you might find yourself spending a ton of money defending yourself for killing someone over property; whether it be in criminal or civil court and if your really unlucky, both. With the civil immunity we got passed last year, I think there's more risk of losing a lawsui...

Re: LEO seizure of a handgun
Well....clearly this is an important and passionate subject, else it would not have generated 6 pages of replies and attracted 1,200 views. Even though I am a bit dogmatic about certain aspects of CHL disarms, I want to make it clear that I am proud of the LEO that go out daily and do a job that I ...

Re: LEO seizure of a handgun
Very well said Mr. Cotton. As I stated before (from my own limited knowledge and experience), most CHL holders will not be disarmed, unless certain circumstances arise either from the situation at hand or previous LEO experience. I have responded to calls involving CHL's before, from a casual encoun...

Re: LEO seizure of a handgun
To err is to be human....to argue this is a moot point. If an officer deems it necessary to disarm you for a justifiable reason, then please, dont give him/her a hard time. They would like to go home at the end of the day/night just like everyone else. Just because one has a CHL does not mean that t...
