I have a Shield 9mm after having a Kel Tec PF9 for a year or so and really like the Shield. Put 400 rounds through it in a 2 day tactical training course when it was only a week old and didn't have any problems with sore hands. (The long trigger pull on the PF9 would have been an issue I think). Had a couple of stove-pipes the 1st day but no problems since and have probably put at least 1000 rounds through it. My only complaint so far is slow custormer service response from S&W when the paint dots came out of the rear sight. Took almost 3 weeks for them to indicate that they would look at it and send a return label but in the process they informed me that normal turn-around was 6 to 8 weeks. I did my own sight dot repair.
