Set Aside Verdict Plea Withdrawn

I picked my record from the district clerk today. From the way I read it everything is good to go but I want to be sure before I send it in. Below is the text from the document. ON THIS 24th day of August, 1981, came on to be heard that above-styled and numbered cause, and came on to heard the Motio...

Re: Creative Editing of an Article? What's Going On Here!?

I received an aswer to my e-mail to the editor. Dear Richard -- Robert Rivard asked me to read your e-mail to him, investigate what happened with Clay Robison's column Monday and determine why the Jerry Patterson quote was excised. Here is what I learned: I don't know if you read Monday's Robison co...

Re: Creative Editing of an Article? What's Going On Here!?

I posted this on the open carry web site. I also sent the following e-mail to the editor of the San Antonio Express News. rrivard@express-news.net If I get a response i'll post it. Dear Mr. Rivard, I’m writing this because it’s very disconcerting that an article was not published as it was written. ...

Re: Shot my new SA 1911 for the first time today

Shooting with two hands now, will eventually practice with each hand alone. Can't be reminded too much, always assume it's loaded.

I could only get one picture before the camera batteries died.

Shot my new SA 1911 for the first time today

It's been at least 35 years since I have fired a pistol. I only got to fire 8 rounds because it started to rain. The first couple of shots went pretty close to where I was aiming but after that I couldn't hold the gun still. I don't know if it was adrenaline ( it sure was a lot of fun :woohoo ) or j...

Re: Interesting Bill Filed Today 12/15/2008 HB-410

Why don't they just add an endorsement to your driver's license. Since the DPS already has your picture on file for your driver's license it would eliminate having to send a picture with the application. They could just send you a new driver's license with the endorsement. Make it expire with your l...

Re: Looking for advice on buying a new 1911

I just got back from Wal-Mart, bought two boxes of Winchester Target/Range with 100 rounds for 31.47 each. Much better than Gander's cheap brand at 23.67 for 50 rounds.

Re: Looking for advice on buying a new 1911

Thanks for all the replies. Well I pulled the trigger  and bought the PB9108LP at 649.00. The Sporting Arms in Lewisvile had it for 569.00 including the CC surcharge but I would have to have driven for 6 hours and spent 50.00 for diesel. Mow I've got to go to Wal-Mart and get some shells an...

Looking for advice on buying a new 1911

I have it narrowed down to two that I'm interested in. One is a blued Colt (don't remember the exact model) and the other is a parkerized Springfield Mil-Spec. I'm getting this mostly for personal defense but would also like to go to the range every so often to play. I'm also getting my CHL to be ab...
