Re: Ruger American .22LR or .17HMR / owners here?

Well, finally got the scope mounted. Medium rings might work if the rear iron sight
was removed. High rings installed, and there's about 1/16"(or less) space between obj bell and
the front iron sight. What a fun little gun to shoot! Thanks again cyphertext for your info.

Re: Ruger American .22LR or .17HMR / owners here?

Thanks for the response. I picked up the compact model w/ threaded 18" barrel. Just ordered Weaver #12 bases and Med Height rings. However, now I'm thinking maybe I should have gotten high rings. I want to mount a Nikon 3x9-40 and wonder if the rear sight will interfere (even when folded down)....

Re: a corset holster!

Please keep trying. My wife has not found anything holster-wise that she is comfortable wearing.
This could be a good option for her.
Thanks

Ruger American .22LR or .17HMR / owners here?

I'm looking at getting a little bolt action .22LR for a "barn gun". One to keep at the farm to dispatch unwanted turtles, grackles/crows etc. Something not too pretty, because it will get banged around, fairly accurate, and user friendly. I've looked at the Savage models and a few others, ...

Re: Have you bought a meal for a first responder

I did not want to hijack another thread so I started a poll here. Whenever I go out to eat, if there is a first responder on duty and in uniform I will have the wait staff give me their ticket. Unless we are in a fast food line, they never know who payed for it. I also pay for a soldier in uniform'...

He was coming into the feeder , didnt weigh it but i know he was heavy . It was only 17'' wide and his longest tine ...

Re: Good scope for 30-06?

Not sure if I should post this here or in holsters and accessories? If this is the wrong place I can move it over to the correct place, that being said I have a CZ 557 carbine, I love this gun and have already used it hog hunting but just used the iron sights. I want to get a good scope for her to ...

Re: Shooting on private property...

This is a Hatfields & McCoys situation. There is no win until the bad neighbors move. This /\. I feel sorry for your friend. She has rude neighbors. However, many people move to the country to get away from the crime, traffic, taxes, rules and regulations of city life. Most are self reliant. Mo...

Re: Texas State Fair

So, there was an actual 30.07 sign posted at the fair entrance? from the "bigtex.com" website...... ............"State Fair of Texas prohibits Fair attendees (including LTC holders) from openly carrying handguns while at the Fair. If an individual attempts to enter the Fair with an o...
