That part is do-able, that one side needed some trimming. BUT now the grips are thicker than the stock, so that the factory screw will not reach through to the other side and engage the other side of the grip. These appear a special sized screw, so don't know of anything aftermarket that would be longer to reach and then fit the threading of the made in the grip nut. Hope this makes sense. Interesting you should ask... I ordered 2 sets in mid Dec and was charged for both. Next day I sold one of the guns and wrote and asked them if they could cancel the one and still ship the other....week went by, wrote again, nothing. Waited 2 more weeks and specifically asked if they would at least reply...again, nothing. MONTH went by, wrote again, nothing. Also, since a month and a half went by, and I still was not listed on the updates, I asked about the time frame, never received any letter, but this time was update as in the system. FINALLY in last week of Feb there was an update in their system that it was preparing for shipping, but no letter from them. I wrote one more time saying if they did not respond about whether they could cancel the one, I would go to every gun forum and repeat it...suddenly next day their was a refund on paypal and a note apologizing for the delay. Got the grips this week...very pretty... DOESN'T FIT. I'm not going to waste money shipping them back to Hungary, but I'll never do business with them again.
