Re: The Arms Room is open!

I went there Sunday, I took the Saiga 12 and the Sub2000.

Open 7 days a week, 9AM to 10PM.
Bringing your own targets, no problem.
$12 per hour, $6 for additional shooter in same lane, $3 for each additional 15 minutes. They take your DL at arrival, and you get it back when you pay.
I think they have 15 lanes, the first 5 are for anything, rifles, pistols, combat shotguns, I didn't see any restrictions and there were a wide variety of folks shooting high powered guns.
The lanes are 65' long, the target carriers are electronic and the best I've seen.
Air circulation is fantastic, the range was around 75F (and it was 100F outside when we were shooting as most of you know) and I never felt as though I was inhaling anything bad, and there was a guy shooting a big bore rifle 2 lanes over.
They allow steel cased ammo.
The range officer was one of the nicest folks, he showed us how to operate the targets, gave us a quick safety talk (keep the muzzles down range, the usual) and said have fun. After the Saiga destroyed the target backing he came over and replaced it and smiled while doing it.
You stand on grating, the empty's go down into it or down range.
There is a lounge area behind the range, you can have a rest on nice couches or chairs, have a soda and watch thru windows. This is the nicest range I've been to.
The store itself is now open 7 days too, the same hours as the range. I bought a 5.11 tactical shirt with 2 inner hidden pockets for guns for $40, a good deal IMO
The range officer has a stapler and will staple your targets for you. If you use a staple gun like me, it doesn't work as well as a plain old stapler, I will be adding it to my range box.

I'm a member of PSC and will never give that up, but in August or bad weather or getting my wife to practice in anything other than those 2 days a year of fabulous weather, I'll be going to the Arms Room.
