Same here! I proudly live in Fort Worth, Texas. . . but the Federal gubmint makes me write "Keller" on my correspondence. :txflag:

I'm in Keller also. I tell all my friends to be sure they have all the lights burning (in both senses of the phrase), use signals etc. after 10:00 in Keller.
They watch every vehicle for probable cause to stop and check for (lack of) sobriety or contraband.
If you read the Keller Citizen police blotter, then you'd agree it seems they spend most of the daylight hours busting shoplifters at Kohl's. :nono:

Re: Stopped by Keller PD

I just posted a story about Keller PD in Trophy Club. . . but I have another Keller story.

I was pulled over by Keller on 377 (northbound just before 1709 and the old town area - where the speed reduces a few times in a row) about 18 months ago. He said I was going about 5 over and asked for my info.

I pulled over on the shoulder, turned my truck off, and kept my hands on the steering wheel. When he got to the truck, he asked for my DL and insurance, so I removed my seatbelt, got out my wallet, took out the DL and CHL, opened the glove box, took out the insurance, and handed all three to him. While I was doing this he asked if I was in a hurry. I explained that I wasn't - but I had just bought this truck and the tires were two sizes larger than stock, so I suspected my speedometer might be off but had no idea how much, so I was staying with traffic until I could get it calibrated.

By this time he'd seen the CHL and suddenly his whole demeanor changed. He asked if I had my firearm, and I replied, "Yes sir, it's in the console." He smiled and said, "Well, let's just leave it there." haha

He went to his car for about 3 minutes before coming back, handing me my cards, and telling me to be careful and have a great night.

In my experience, Keller is usually watching 377, 1709, and Rufe Snow looking for drunk drivers after dark. They also watch parts of 170 and 114 for Trophy Club and Westlake. They'll use any violation to pull you over and talk to you. They do tend to be a younger force, but I've never had an issue.
