So,
to be clear, does the change in the 30.06 posting language mean all the current signs are invalidated and have to be replaced?
If so, I can see a lot of complaining coming from the business community for the burden of replacing those signs.

Re: Travel through Southern States- Legal CHL
I have driven from TX to NC numerous times. I make a cheat sheet too. It covers the major variations like notifications to LEOs, restaurant carry, signs, in car vs. on person, etc. IIRC, NC doesn't allow you to have a handgun with a round in the chamber in the car but it is OK if on your person. Or ...

Re: The best tablet under $100
So, you just use a smart phone as a WiFi access device? Like a small tablet. Interesting.
What are the drawbacks?
Thanks,

Re: Texas3006.com new mapping feature - Beta test!
Well Done, Russell. :cheers2: I noticed that Houston City Hall had a pin so I checked it out. The pin is for First Wings Learning Center up on JFK Blvd. May I suggest changing the color of the pins? One color for valid and another for invalid. Perhaps a color for 51% signs too? Perhaps a pin for loc...

Re: Corp of Engineer land
In addition to the opinions already stated, my reading suggests the court understands the need to regulate firearms in sensitive locations but views ACoE's regulation as being too broad. That, in turn would bode well for a permanent change. Or am I reading the order with my own prejudices? My questi...

Re: First time to carry on body!!
It might help you feel better if you try to notice others who are carrying. After a while, you'll forget and stop looking. That is the common state of awareness of 99.9% of people on the street.

Anticipate your opponents move.
Think like a thug. "Where would I hide to attack someone in this place?"
As you walk around, try to see the world through the eyes of a bad guy. "That person isn't paying attention. I'll surprise them right there."

Re: has anyone renewed yet, 9/1/13
I just renewed and had no problems until the last page that had the barcode and confirmation number - it says application not complete until all documents have been sent (CHL100, a copy of barcode) to DPS. Ditto here. I guess I'll have to call them. I'll wait until Monday. It is a little disappoint...

I guess we crashed the server. Now there's a message indicating the server is down.

Re: has anyone renewed yet, 9/1/13
I think there is an issue with the payment server. All the rest seems to work just fine.
I tried logging in again and I had to enter all my info again. When I got to the payment system, it just stops working.
I'll remain patient.

I've been trying this morning too. No Joy. I think any one or more of the following are possible. No particular order. 1. Their server is slammed and they can't process all the requests 2. The site admin decided to do mnt. this morning and it hasn't finished yet. 3. Because of the large amount of tr...

Re: Hotels and 30.06
The only hotels in Houston that I saw listed on the Texas 30.06 site were Hilton and Doubletree. The Doubletree downtown is 30.06 posted. Legal sign is on the front door. There are other 30.06 graphics posted at the secondary entrances with correct verbiage but the letters are not legal size. FWIW,...
