As long as TV Media outlets see news as a moneymaker, they'll put reports together that'll garner ratings.

"TEENS WITH DANGEROUS HIGH POWER ASSUALT WEAPONS ON NORTH TEXAS STREETS! DETAILS AT ELEVEN!"


Of course that'll scare the bejesus out of most people. Nobody would tune in for:

"AN IN DEPTH REPORT ANALYZING GUN OWNERSHIP AND PUBLIC SAFETY: WE'RE SAFER WITH RESPONSIBLE PEOPLE CARRYING GUNS! DETAILS AT ELEVEN!"
