Re: Is Obama a boob for bowing?
It doesn't take much of a headline for much of the general public to find their place in one line or the other. Some people just need to be told what to think and they are there. Certainly a smaller crowd that weighs the evidence and comes up with their own view.

Bush helped Obama get elected and I'm thinking Palin will help him get re-elected. The public has a short memory but Palin will be right out there reminding people of 2000-2008.marksiwel wrote:
How is he INTENTIONALLY showing disrespect for America? A mistake, is just that, a mistake. I minor one at that.
If you want to get into Presidents showing disrespect for America and Americans, we got 8 whole years of Bush to go over, and heck I voted for him, but there was alot of Disrespect there.
Also, sad as this is, Obama's gonna get re-elected

Bubkis? Oy!frazzled wrote:No we are employing our right to free speech as well. The First Amendment says you have the right to ask why Obama is bowing. It also affirms my equal inalienable right to say the issue is bubkis. Thats the whole point of the thing.Dudley wrote:Late night hosts on multi-billion dollar broadcast networks repeatedly mocked Bush for his mistakes and that was fine, but when a private citizen makes a similar comment about Obama, the thought police try to limit free speech.

When two men hold hands does it mean the same thing in the park as it does when A US President does it with the leader of a non-democratic nation??

Re: Is Obama a boob for bowing?
I like the photos of Bush walking hand in hand with Saudis. When the two walked side by side in Crawford I don't remember any discussion of Bush's sexual orientation.
When Bush did his own version of an African dance in Liberia I don't think anyone believed he thought he was trying out as a Solid Gold dancer.
He took part in a sword dance in Saudi Arabia. I imagine he saw himself as being a respectful guest.

Re: Is Obama a boob for bowing?
I admire anyone who acknowledges others' cultures. Its thoughtful and shows a willingness to understand someone outside your own neighborhood. I don't imagine he intended to show off as a bowing expert.
