I was so impressed by my experience. Most of us "early birds" got their pistol back within 2 or 3 days. I feel sorry for those people who have the LCP as their only carry pistol and are stuck without it for "who knows how long".kidder014 wrote:Did you guys get your LCP back yet? Mine is going on three weeks now.

Re: LCP Recall
That's never happened to me, either, but my conditions are different. I've never reclined or laid down with it in my pocket, and I wear blue jeans which give the pistol in my pocket a snug fit.

Re: LCP Recall
When drawing the gun, the holster stays in the pocket and the pistol alone comes out. It was designed to do this with a smooth interior and a rough rubber-like exterior.CHLSteve wrote:I read a quote on this forum that the Nemesis let their gun slip out of their pocket. Have you not had this experience?

Re: LCP Recall
Well, I'm glad to report that despite the strangeness on UPS' website, my LCP came back to me today, serviced and with a hat and new magazine. Back on the shelf it goes.TheArmedFarmer wrote:Strange. My package went out yesterday (from me to Ruger) but today the UPS website says...

Re: LCP Recall
Strange. My package went out yesterday (from me to Ruger) but today the UPS website says:
I don't know why they are returning it to me without accepting the shipment. I guess I'll just wait and see what happens.
Type: Package

Returned On: 12/18/2008 10:27 A.M.
Signed By: RALPH
Location: FRONT DESK
Returned To: PRESCOTT, AZ, US

UPS has returned the shipment to the original sender's location because it was unable to be delivered. Please see the tracking detail for more information.
What should I do?
Contact the original sender of the shipment directly to have it reshipped, to make alternate arrangements, and/or validate your delivery address.

Re: LCP Recall
I tried calling them to let them know that the box is ready for pickup, but I kept on getting a busy signal yesterday. Finally I got through to an operator (who was very friendly) who told me they are completely slammed. She suggested I call a different day.
This morning I called and got right through to the recall desk. Anyone who has trouble getting through, I suggest morning rather than afternoon.

My box arrived yesterday!TheArmedFarmer wrote:I submitted my info to Ruger the day after carlson1 did, and I haven't heard a thing from them, nor has a box arrived. I guess I'll keep waiting. I'm in no hurry, as I don't carry the LCP. It's kind of a "shelf gun", but still I'd like to get the repair work done so I don't have to think about it any more.
