I have been a LInux user for 10 years now. I run internet servers using Redhat and run Fedora for my desktop. No one has to see it, the site is set so that if you follow it under normal conditions when you submit your data it is transferred through https and not http. The site is secure, just put the "s" behind the http in the url or if you use the normal javascript it processes the request as a secure communication.
