Re: 51% sign in a non 51% business
I spotted this sign the other day and Keith helped me find this thread... I say if they are a "blue" or don't sell any alcohol, then we DON'T report them and call it a day. My guess is that if they get the errant sign pulled by TABC, they will do the homework and put up the right signs... ...

51% Sign at Johnny Rockets in the Woodlands???
I have seen posts about illegal 51% signs, but I was especially surprised to see this sign at Johnny Rockets at Market Street in The Woodlands... since I don't think they even serve alcohol. But sure as anything, they have the sign posted in both English and Spanish in the front window. My guess is ...

Re: Renewal Of Chl
Okay, just to be painfully clear, I have a related question for clarification. My license expires in December of this year. I am scheduled to take the class this weekend. Do I understand that it is okay for me to take the class this weekend (i.e. it isn't "too" early) and I can send the pa...

Re: Pulled over with a car full of people
DW... you'll have to take my word for it. I have a reason to speed (and so far , 100% of LEO's that have pulled me over on the job agree), but that's really not the point of my question. Venus has a great point. One such time was when I had a tail light out at 2am in Dallas. I had no idea, and the o...

Too bad he didn't just give it to me when I lived in FL. Then I could have just brought my gun with me to TX. Ugh...
Okay cool. If he ships to an FFL in TX, does it have to be overnight?

Re: Pulled over with a car full of people
Haha... One would be correct! There is no formal policy that prohibits my carrying. Primarily, I am concerned that it would get back to my company and they would create such a policy. My job is a little different. I am a trainer, and I go out with people to train them, so this is not "carpoolin...

Pulled over with a car full of people
I posted this on another forum, but I didn't know TXCHL was here, so I thought I would ask the TX experts! I live in TX and have been pulled over a handful of times on the interstate. I have only ever had good experiences with any LEO. I was driving 3 other people the other day though, and I wondere...

Re: "Gifting" a firearm across state lines
Bummer. So does he have to ship it to FFL in TX, do we need to use one in FL, or can I bring it to one here after transporting? :???: I am trying to make it as easy for him as I can. He's had the thing in a box in the corner of his attic for like 10 years. Is it highly inadvisable to "just do i...

"Gifting" a firearm across state lines
My boss is in FL. He has a revolver that he just wants to get rid of (that's all he knows about the gun...that it's a revolver). The next time I fly to Florida, I am planning on just bringing it back with me. FL and TX both allow private transfers, and neither require registration of hanguns. So far...
