Out of respect for neighbors I would restrict use of range to day and early evening, so unless there is a day sleeper near me that shouldn't be an issue. Probably would not go through more then 50 rounds at a time either so it wouldn't be for a long period.
Thanks for the suggestion on the NRA, I will have to check that out.

Home Range
I am wondering if there are any problems with me setting up a private range on my own property. While I enjoy going to the public range near me there are many times when I just want to shoot a few rounds and it is not worth the effort of driving to the range. I live on 5 acres of property ouside the city limits of Conroe. I know it is legal to shoot on ones own property here, many people hunt on their own property. Obviously proper saftey measures would need to be taken to prevent a stray round from leaving the property. I am wondering what other problems might be lurking. Sure would be nice to be able to just go out the back door to test a new gun out!
