I received my CHL in the mail today.
It looks like I am no longer a resident of "The Waiting Room".

Application packet received 10-08-08
Class completed 10-12-08
Application and Docs sent Cert Mail 10-14-08
Application and Docs Received by DPS 10-16-08
Processing Application 11-04-08
Application Completed - license issued or certificate active 12-03-08
Only 48 days from the time DPS received my application until they issued my CHL! I'm now patiently waiting for my plastic to arrive so I can take my Wally Walk.
BTW, I live in Tarrant County if that makes any difference.
