I agree, a return to The Constitution is in order. But a move towards Democracy from a Republic would be a bad move for our country.txfireguy2003 wrote:We need a new party, the PATRIOT party. For any issues not specifically addressed in the Constitution or Bill of Rights, the question will be posed to the people prior to a vote in congress, much like a primary election. We also need a return to the idea that intellectualism is not such a bad idea, when married with appropriate ethics and a desire to serve for the greater good of the society as opposed to merely being self-serving. A Representative should vote in the best interests of the constituency even if that vote is against the voice of the constituency.
