Well I just made it back from the big city capital, sure had a great time at Lake Travis. I took Ranch Road 2222 into RR 620 to get to the Villia, sure were alot of nice houses. Wife and I had a good time, our Battalion Chaplin is a real nice guy, he came to the BN while I was deployed. He had one of his preacher buddies with him, a retired SF / Army Ranger Col that is now a preacher. We had alot of nice food and it was just real nice to get away with the wife. I have my plastic and I will be hanging around to support the others.

Re: November '08 Applications
Well my license is active and certificate was issued, but I dont have my plastic, I bet it comes to the house today. However the Army is doing something very, very nice for me and my wife. We are leaving in a little bit to go to Vintage Villas down on Lake Travis. The website shows it is a real nice place. The Battalion Chaplin is hosting a 2 day marriage enrichment program. All we had to pay for was the fuel to drive down there, the Army picks up the tab for meals and lodging. So my license will get here, and I will be gone, so I maybe able to do my Wally Walk on Sunday when I get back. I live in an ok area, but roomate has been briefed to get mail and put DPS / RLC mail in the fire safe. You all have a great weekend and I will see you on Sunday.

I got my PIN in the mail today. I was outside building my barn and went down to the mail box, and the Regulatory Licensing Service from DPS had a letter for me. I am so happy, logged on and I am “Processing Application”

Re: November '08 Applications
My class was with Mr. Felker also, he drives up here to Fort Hood every other month to help out us Active Duty guys and our families. Yes his class is really interesting, and I recommend him to anybody out there.

Re: November '08 Applications
Well I can say that of the 14 members of my unit, there is a 95% chance that I am the only one to get my packet in the mail today. So depending on what the rest of the class did, ( about 50 students) I sure hope our wait isnt too long, I am thinking I should have it before the Super Bowl. Best of luck and Happy Waiting!!

I really enjoyed the class. I was glad that I got 13 members from my unit to go with me. I had just as many enrolled, but with this weekend being the first weekend any of us have had in 15 months, alot of the folks didnt make it to class. It is good to be home, and I am glad to be in the "Waiting Room".
