Re: October Application
I see what you're saying but this PD report is from their "court" for it is a VERY small town where everything is in the same bldg. The county won't have record of a simple catch and release arrest but the application specifically said to prove all arrests, therefore I thought going to this small PD would be necessary. I agree to my responsibility here but don't get why 2 documents from 2 gov court affiliated offices are necessary.
My instructor wasn't sure what to do.
Edit: I read it wrong, I have to get cert. Copy from county AND District showin no arrests.

I got a letter but no plastic. They delayed it due to not turning in paperwork on an arrest where I was NOT charged. They highlighted that I did not submit a "record search from the county where the arrest occurred, beginning with the year of your arrest to the present date that indicates no records were found."
This is frustrating since I DID include this city PD arrest report showing that I was released and not charged in 2003. I looked at the application and it says to "include any offenses which you were arrested..." so I did the PD report.
I guess the lesson for you is that if you were arrested but not charged, you need to include the local PD arrest report but also the county clerk's record showing that there is no record on you. It seems to me that it would be obvious that if I was not charged and proved it with a certified copy from the city's PD, there would be NOTHING to show on the county clerk's level. Here goes another few months.
Frustrating...

Re: Oct. 2008 Applications
Got PIN today in the mail and with that, the ever popular "Processing Application" response. So, it took just over 3 weeks. I'll take it.

Re: Oct. 2008 Applications
Great advice! I know I've gone through some adversities in my life which has taught me patience although I could of chosen to learn nothing from those long journeys.SIGnage wrote:Enjoy the time you have now, don't wish it away for tomorrow, it will get here soon enough. Going to not think about about it and focus on learning the various laws and such. Planning on going to my dad's farm down by Waco to practice more tactical moves instead of what the range offers.
