Re: Sporting Arms....Anyone Know The Owner??

I do wish her well. We need more small businesses and I believe, we should support them. Hopefully, regardless of the excuse, this lack of response issue (which seems to be the norm, based on previous posts), is only temporary... and if it is not temporary, then she takes some type of definitive act...

Re: Sporting Arms....Anyone Know The Owner??

I agree with the OP that regardless of someone's personal situation, a prompt response from any business is not too much to expect. You might try the Ft. Worth Gun Show this weekend or the Market Hall Gun Show next weekend...prices have come down over the past couple of months and you will likely fi...

Re: Dallas vs Fort Worth gun show

Agree with the above.... Ft. Worth and Market Hall are biggest. Big Town smaller. Mesquite Rodeo the smallest. The abbreviated DFW schedule upcoming (all are Sat and Sun, I've just listed Sat).... Sept 12-Big Town 19-Ft. Worth 26-Market Hall Oct 3-Big Town 10-Ft. Worth 24-Mesquite Rodeo 31-Ft. Worth...

Re: CHL and alcohol....

All very good comments on this post as well as the other posts...this has been discussed ad nauseam. However, I am not sure this can be discussed enough. I too, enjoy a drink or two from time to time and am certainly not making any judgements one way or the other and have made mistakes in my younger...

Not sure you can go wrong with the Glock 36 / Super Tuck rig. IMHO.

Bought my Galco belt (double thick, 1.5 inches) at GunMaster in Plano. Avenue K and Spring Creek, just South of Sam's. They have a few in stock.

Re: Ability to shoot on property within a city

9mmGuy,

It is actually Parker, TX (which shares the Eastern city limit line with Plano) and my description in my orginal post was exact. Unfortunately, most folks, esp those not from this area, do not know Parker (maybe the Southfork Ranch)...they think Parker County (Weatherford).

Re: Anyone watch DDD on the Food Channel?

:iagree: Agree with HKUSP45C. Kohls and WalMart have a pretty good selection for a reasonable price. These are also called "camp shirts". I wear short sleeves in the Summer and long sleeves in the Winter. It is hard to find the long sleeves, but 2 companies make them that I am aware of (I'...

Re: Ability to shoot on property within a city

Thanks to all for the great information. I truly appreciate it. I got a copy of the city ordinance and it actually said (paraphrasing here), as an exception, that one could discharge a firearm to stop a "wild" animal. Also, I am checking with the City Attorney and the Chief (both are acqua...

Ability to shoot on property within a city

Seems I read some time ago that (per State Law) one could shoot on their own property if 1)they owned 10 acres or more 2) the bullets did not cross a property line and 3) the discharge was at least 100 feet from the nearest neighbor's dwelling. This may or may not be correct, but I seem to remember ...

Kahr P380 vs. Sig P238

Hello all... Looking for some opinions / advise on a BUG / pocket carry. I've narrowed it down to 2: the Kahr P380 and the Sig P238. (Both .380 obviously). BTW...don't want to get into the Kel-Tec, LCP debate...already ruled them out. Put money down on whichever comes in to my local gun shop (in thi...

Re: Own House -> Own Gun

Justice

A good shop suggestion for Plano is the Bullet Trap at 2608 Avenue K. It is on the East side between Park and Parker. Informed staff, good selection of handguns and a range.
