What am I missing? Wouldn't a Para-P13 hold 13+1 which would bring the total to 27 with 2 mags? My Para 14.40 holds 14+1. I don't mean to be rude. I just don't understand.

Yes,

I don't load my mags. to full capacity.

It is not a problem to seat a completely full mag. from slidelock, but with the slide forward (tactical reload) it requires a very brisk motion to reliably seat the mag. (not much spring compression left). Try it on your firearm and you'll note the difference.

In the heat of a fight....this could cause a problem (yeah....I know, I'm too anal about this kinda stuff).

Anyway, 25 is plenty.
