When you stay in a Motel can you legally carry from your car to your room?

Thanks for the help. I was wondering how many restaurants was 30.06 on the River Walk. Someone in our church is sending us down for a weeks vacation to celebrate my wife's birthday. I just don't want to end up down there unarmed or even worse jail.

Hesitant to take the thread off topic about "Armed robbery in San Antonio mall."

I am planning a trip for my wife to San Antonio and I want to stay on the River Walk. I know that San Antonio has some weird ordinances on knife laws.

My question is are there any gun laws the City Ordinance has. If staying on the on the River Walk in a hotel is something I should be concerned or worried about. I see that it is best to avoid the mall which is not a problem.
