
Her speech is good. She is a little slow to tell me what she needs or remembering what she was doing Sunday evening before going to the hospital. The doctors at Baylor said all of that should come back slowly and that there shouldn't be any significant damage. In May 2009 she suffered a stroke and I was in Baylor with heart issues. They carried her straight down to the ER where she suffered another stroke. She has lasting damage from those strokes. We are praying and thanking God that this was not worse than it was.
She has been given a blood thinner and we have an appointment with our doctor in Tyler on Thursday. She will be referred to a neurologist. I guess we will know more from there. Baylor mentioned she will need occupational therapy and we would be able to come there for that treatment. That will make it much easier.
