Condition Four: Chamber empty, empty magazine, hammer down.
Condition Three: Chamber empty, full magazine in place, hammer down.
Condition Two: A round chambered, full magazine in place, hammer down.
Condition One: A round chambered, full magazine in place, hammer cocked, safety on.
Condition Zero: A round chambered, full magazine in place, hammer cocked, safety off.
Why would anyone carry "condition four"? You might as well just carry a rock or a hammer. :confused5
The OP had it in a range bag in condition 4. Condition 1 in a range bag would be stupid.
I guess that is an opinion because I don't see it that way.
:tiphat: Taking a hot pistol or two to the firing line in a range bag might not be proper etiquette. Most ranges want bolts open and chambers empty. YMMV.
I guess I live a sheltered life. :smilelol5:

Correct, I had a loaded weapon in the console and the others were in my range bag in the back seat w/ rifle in the trunk. No reason to have all loaded.
All of mine are always loaded because firearms are always loaded. :tiphat:
