EVERYONE should remember the police are just people. Just because he did his job and gave a slip of paper that cost you does not make him a bad person. I understand that in all groups there are bad apples, but the police get a bad rap sometimes because people who think they are good citizens should always be given grace. And that is WRONG.

There are so many of these stories we should have a forum for LE bloppers. I arrested a School teacher one time for having what I thought was execcy. She told me they were aspirn, but they were 65 pills in a baggy. I had been out of the Academy for almost a year. I had finished my probation period and just became a Trooper II. I thought it was the bust of the year. It was Aspirn. The war stories you could tell. Maybe Mr. Charles could start a blooper forum. Police are humans too.

My big brother is a Commander for TPW in the East Texas area. I worked DPS narcotics. He did not like this story, but it was funny to me. In the late 80's TPW (probably still does just don't know) would use a mechanical deer for spot lighters. I was working a stake out late one night and we all used the same frequency. I was listening the GW's working this mechanical deer. You talk about funny. After about three or four can't remember for sure. I hear "8314 to 8322 we have another one. He is slowing down, no he kept going. Wait a minute he is coming back." This went on for it seemed like forever. Then all of sudden it was (on the air way my friends), "8322 he has stolen the ******* deer." I have never laughed so hard in my life. I like the GW and would not want their job. But you know these guys took it for weeks over this one.
