I can't agree more. I'm not saying that we shouldn't be a loud voice. What I am saying is that we shouldn't be antagonistic about it. I have stopped short of putting stickers on my bumper that would encite an angry reaction several times. I didn't because it would give the radical Obama and Palosi numbskulls the ammo they want, just to throw it right back at us through the state-run media.phoneguy wrote:Liberals never do anything by accident, the attempts to suppress our rights is a long established program to enhance their power, leading us to their idea of a socialist utopia.pdubyoo wrote:I'm certainly not disagreeing with your ideas, nor the reason for them, but consider this...The libs want the conservatives to respond that way so they can point their finger at you and say, "See how militant they are?". The thing that makes the extreme libs madder than a hornet is when the conservatives counter their position in a respectable, calm and factual manner. I've experimented with that tactic, and it sends them off like a North Korean rocket.![]()
What's going to be fun is watching these yahoos get voted out of office in 2010 and 2012. They're gonna squeeaaal like a stuck pig.
The roots of this can be found from Obama's idealogical inspiration, Saul Alinski, in Rules for Radicals, to paraphrase, " hold your opponent to his words and ideals, while cliaming for yourself the right to not be held to any ideals or previous statements"
Also remenber the concept of Repressive Tolerance, from Herbert Marcuse, 1965, in which he advocates that the opinions and speech of the Right, must be suppressed, and the speech of the Left, must be encouraged and supported. The left expects us to respond with reason and logic, so we can be shouted down and intimidated, sometimes we have to shout back.
