I'm recovering from a pinched nerve in my lower back, and yesterday evening, I told her that I needed to run to the store to pick-up some things (including Advil), and in a very concerned voice, she asked if I was going to be able to wear my gun with my bad back. My response..."of course!" She actually had a relieved look on her face. Gotta love her!

I used to always get the eye roll :roll:when it came to carrying, or frankly, anything that partained to guns. But there have been many times that we've been out around town or traveling, and she'll ask me if I'm "packing heat". I always respond..."always". Several times, she has responded, "good".

Her main source of anxiety was access, or lack thereof, by the kids. Now that she sees that I am serious about it either being in the safe or on my side, she's pretty calm about it.

I still get the eye roll frequently, just not so much about the handgun.
