On any rifle I think a rear peep sight is the easiest to use for accuracy and speed. A notch or V type rear sight can't hold a candle to a ghost ring. Look at how many people love the sight on an M1A. If you need a scope you can kill two birds with one stone by getting the XS rail/sight combo. You can also buy some florescent model paint or nail polish and mark the front sight to make it stand out and not spend a ton of money.
