Re: New West Houston Shooting Range

I have visited the showroom only. The entry way of the store was a mess with boxes and packaging everywhere, multiple employees sitting around eating lunch. The showroom looks very nice with a state of the art feel to it. It reminded me of the movie Commando w/ Arnold when he breaks in the sporting goods store and goes to the hidden back room with all the awesome weapons.

The folks were nice, but I did stand around for a while before I got any service. I think all the employees were eating up front. No biggie, no one was rude or anything. They did not have what I was looking for and I knew if I stayed and kicked tires any longer something might follow me home, and that was not what I was there for.

I do know what other members have said about you not getting a warm fuzzy feeling from local gun shops unless you are a big spender or one of the good ole boys that hangs out in there ALL day with no intention of spending any money. I did not get that feeling at Tactical Firearms.

They do advertise on the radio as the states largest class 3 dealer. I don't know if that is number of sales or actual store size. I would be interested to know.
