I just did a couple of forum searches. The Tucker Answer is discussed as early as 2004.

I don't own any Comp-Tac products, the reason being that I don't like kydex next to me. I had to check their site just now because I didn't think they made a holster with leather.Skiprr wrote:Sorry to chime in on a Crossbreed post, but I feel the original deserve counterpoint.
I've always considered the SuperTuck to be a copy of Tucker's Answer. IIRC, Tucker was getting the kydex portion from Comp-Tac. But if the MTAC was available when Tucker began offering the Answer, I wasn't aware of it.
